In the end, we\u2019ll organize our work by following the engineering design process:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Define the Problem &amp; Create a Design Brief<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Research &amp; Brainstorm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pick a Solution<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Build or model a Prototype<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Test &amp; Evaluate<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Communicate Results<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In doing this, not only will you and your team be able to develop the solution to a real-world problem.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">STEP 1: Take some time to review the principles of design ethics and the product life cycle, taking some careful notes in your engineering notebook.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">STEP 2: Work with your group to develop a design brief, research, and brainstorm possible solutions.\u00a0 Your chosen solution will then be fully described and prepared for development.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">STEP 3: Work with your group to pick a solution, and write-up how the solution will work.
